Purpose

Our editorial content — guides, blog posts, FAQ, methodology — exists to help contractors, architects, engineers, and estimators produce more accurate bids and better projects.

Editorial Standards

  • Accuracy first. Numbers cited are drawn from field-tested industry norms, cross-referenced when possible.
  • Transparency. When a value is regional, we say so. When a standard is one of many, we say so.
  • No sponsored content. We do not accept payment to promote products.
  • Original writing. Every guide and post is written in-house.
  • Corrections. If we're wrong, we fix it and note the change.

Review Cycle

All calculator methodology is reviewed on every version release. Guides are reviewed quarterly. Blog posts are dated and are point-in-time.

Author Attribution

Editorial content is published under the ConstrCalc masthead. Author bios for individual contributors are available on the About page.
